It's been an exciting week in Video Media class! 7th and 8th grade classes have finally started working on their News Letter and News Show assignments!! You should be able to ask your student what exactly he/she is working on. Every 8th Grade class has an assignment. My 7th Grade White Day classes have their assignments.
6th Grade has also started to write their own news article as well! They are writing a fictional article where they made up one awesome school change that they would like to see (a huge swimming pool at the school, free iphones for every student, fun nights every Friday night, ect.). They then interviewed each other and pretended to be experts about their change. Now they are creating Inverted Pyramids for their stories and beginning to write their first drafts! We also learned what the 5 W's and 1 H of news are!
Students also read an article from the Greene County Record and showed what the 5 W's and 1 H were from the story. They also did an Inverted Pyramid about the story that they read!
