8th Grade Video Media students recorded their very first broadcast today! Check the BROADCASTS tab to watch their show!
We had a little free time today for my 6th grade classes. Usually for free time, we play computer games or on our own smart devices. Today, students were intrigued by the 8th grade Broadcast Studio. So instead of playing games, we explored with green screen technology! Everybody had a blast!
Update!! Students across all grade levels are working on some exciting projects!!!
6th Graders are in the process of learning how to edit video! We are having a blast learning how to add text and special effects to our videos! 7th Graders have dived right into the programming software Scratch! We have just completed our first major Scratch project - the 10 Blocks Project. Students had to create a Scratch project using only 10 specific Scratch blocks! Check out some of their work HERE. There are some pretty impressive projects! 8th Graders have completed their Student Interview Projects and are now beginning work on their first broadcasts. Each class has divided into two groups: Alpha and Bravo. Alpha teams are currently on assignment as they develop their reporter packages for their very first broadcast! Bravo teams are exploring the basics of Scratch and loving it! |
