Meet Your Teacher:
Mrs. Stafford
My name is Jess Stafford and I am the Broadcast Media Communications teacher at William Monroe Middle School. I graduated with a degree in English from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA in 2008. I have worked for ESPN 840AM Radio; as a Master Control Operator for the Charlottesville Newsplex; interned at ABC Channel 8 in Richmond as a news and sports reporter; have written multiple stories for Scrimmage Play as a stringer; and have made several appearances on NBC 29's high school sports show, Varsity Lights.
I have been involved in broadcast media since high school and I hope to share my passion for broadcasting with my students!

While in college, I had the opportunity to play for the University of Mary Washington and Randolph-Macon College womens basketball teams. My love for basketball ultimately led me back to coach the Junior Varsity Girls' Basketball team here at my hometown high school. Teamwork, dedication, and hard work are characteristics that I encourage from both the students and athletes that I work with on a daily basis.
