Here is a run down of all of the 8th grade assignments we have been working on for the past 9 weeks. If you need to work on your grade over Spring Break, here are the things you will need to have completed by the time you arrive back to school!!!!
1. 5 TED Talks
2. 20 sentences (4 sentences per video) answering the following questions:
What is the video about?
What did you like?
What did you not like?
How do you plan to use this video to help you create your own TED Talk?
3. What are you passionate about? Write about 3 things you are passionate about. 15 sentences & a picture.
4. Brainstorm 5 possible TED Talk Ideas. Write 4 sentences about EACH idea! (20 total).
5. Pick your favorite TED Talk idea and write a 10 sentence blog post about it and why you chose that topic.
6. In a new blog post, list TEN facts to support your TED Talk. Be sure to CITE YOUR SOURCES!!!
7. Write a rough draft of what your TED Talk speech will be. This speech must be 800 words, have proper spelling and grammar, and must make a point of some kind. BE PASSIONATE!!!! BE INSPIRING!!!
